Hello, My name is Jen and I kill plants.

I don't have good luck with plants.


Either I over water, under water or just look at them weird and they die.


I have decided to try and get better.

Try being the key word.


So far it has not been successful.


I have had 12 lavender plants delivered to my door in the past month.

This is the only baby that is actually doing well.


There are 5 more that are not shriveled up yet, but not growing either & 3 are teetering on the edge of plant homicide.

3 are in a the giant compost bin in the sky.


It's not looking too good for my green thumb. Not good at all. I was told Lavender plants are hearty and hard to kill. Hard to kill until they met me. A professional plant killer.

A last minute tea party.

She's sweet and cuddley, yet sassy more often than not these days.

She's also very forgetful.

As in "Droping the kids off for pioneer club and no one is in Lilly's classroom because they are all in the cafeteria having a mother daughter tea party that Lilly never told mom about" kind of forgetful.

And there I was in sweats ready to come back to the house and get to work on things that need to be done before my mother comes to the house tomorrow.

But really. How could I say no to this face?

**You may notice, that Lilly perfectly dressed for a teaparty. Not because she remembered and just didn't tell me, but no, this is her normal everyday kind of outfit. **

So anyway, I'm glad I was able to go.


We listened to a guest speaker about different tea cups

She got her badges for the year

We had finger sandwiches and cookies

The only thing is......

Neither one of likes tea. Hot or cold.

And so we ate & were very thirsty by the end.

Once the party was over-we headed to sheetz and got 2 slushies. (perfect for this hot sticky weather tonight!



So yeah. I didn't get the laundry done. The kids bags for the weekend are still unpacked. I didn't get tomorrow's dinner cooked and ready to reheat tomorrow. And I went to a tea party in sweats.

Totally worth it for this girl.
