A peek into our future...

The School Strings program hosted a concert last night that included the entire districts string students. That's kids from 3rd grade through 12th. They each played with their age group and then everyone came on the stage and played the Can-can Song (which I can not remember the name of at the moment)

I'm so glad they did this.

Abby loves to play the cello but she is having to trouble when it comes to making time to practice.

During this concert she got to hear what all the hard work she is putting into the instrument is going to turn out into- just be hearing the Jr and Sr High's orchestras.

She's more pumped and can not wait till she learns some of the techniques that she saw last night.

Next year she will have an orchestra class every day. (can I just say I love our music program- I think this is awesome and the very reason the Jr High is so good at what they are doing) She is also very excited to hear that they will be traveling to Hershey for a competition.

And after we went home it really hit Jim and I that we are so not far from having a high schooler. Yup. 2 more years in school and she'll be in High school. And if the next two years go as quickly as the past two years have, well, it's going to be here before we know it.

I would have loved to give you a sample of how well they played- alas, I can not find our flip :(
