Gnome happy

I couldn't pass this cutie pie shirt on the clearance rack for Lilly. She is forever playing with Neville- who she calls her "little brother"

How cute is this???

Boo!

Boo! Did They scare you?

No need to worry, just some girly fun while The Boy was away this weekend.

entrepreneurial spirit

The kids have opened up a new business.

A massage Shop.

For only a hundred dollars of smack money (Ie... you smack an imaginary bill on the hand) you can have your own karate chop, back rubbing or foot massage... complete with smelly lotion.

Somehow I don't think A hundred of smack money is worth touching Caleb's stinky feet, but hey.... To each his own. LOL :)

When tangle free shampoo stops working...

It's time to take matters into your own hands and just chop it off. She freaked, but only until she realized she was cute and now is sporting a dora cut.

Oy...

We took the 3 day weekend to re-do the flooring in our dining room.

We now know why most people would prefer paying someone to install ceramic tile rather than DIY. It wasn't hard, but it was very time consuming and very hard on the back and knees.

We're done with Step One (install tile) and step Two (cut and install tile around the edges) We need to finish step three (grouting) but that will have to wait till the weekend. It went slower than we thought it would go and then I got a nasty stomach bug that made Jim do Step two all by himself.

But the nasty rug in the dining room is out- and already the floor looks good, even if it isn't completely done yet. We know what we are doing now, so it won't go as slow on the next rooms (kitchen, entryway & bathrooms). Hopefully anyway... it seems there is always something unexpected that pops up whenever we attempt DIYing.

I'll take some pictures when it's all done and post them later.

Mid January Stuff

And is that was not cute enough- she knows just about every word to every song they sang on the anthology cd too. (email people- don't miss the cuteness... visit the site to see Miss Lilly's video debut)

In other news both Caleb and Abby came home with notes from school.

**After last year's battle with caleb we were kind of scared to hear there was a letter in his backpack for us**

However, we were very pleased to hear Both C & A were nominated and accepted in the challenge program. Abby will be learning algebra and Caleb will be doing advanced math.

We always knew they were smart and now we have letters to prove it. :)

Happy Birthday Caleb!

I seem to remember a promise Caleb made me when he was a baby that he wouldn't grow up and he's stay cute and cuddley forever.

I don't think he kept that promise.... :(

this cute little baby is 7 now! Hard to believe.

Happy Birthday Caleb!

I've been bad...

I've been putting off and and putting off my picture back up. I haven't done it since July!

Our laptop is almost 5 years old. It's starting to show it's age and I really don't want it crashing and me loosing a whole 6 months of pictures. So yesterday- I sat here all day organizing them and storing them on disk.

From July to december we had over 5000 pictures. Yikes! It took me forever- but it's done now. :)

Anyway, I was looking through the pictures and I decided that there were a lot of good pictures that went under the radar so to speak so I through a quick video together and I call it 2007 year in review. (and just so you know that I had planned something like this for new years and well, it's only 2 weeks late. LOL- not too bad considering.)

enjoy! (email people will want to visit the blog to see it)

Scrapping in the new year.

I've been doing a little bit of scrapping now that the Christmas crafting is done. :)

This is an old, old old, picture! It was taken in 2000! It was another 8x10 that I cut down to fit in the scrapbook.

Again, another oldie. Hard to believe this baby is turn 7 this week!

These pictures are not so old. From November. I really like the polka dot paper which started the whole page and it all kinda just came together. The red "our family" flap opens up for a surprise.

This one was done for a challenge. The main challenge was to have 75% of the layout be white. that is hard to do- as I like color. I had a few boo-boos I had to cover up so It's not perfect.
The mini challenge was to use three sets of three. So there are three blue ribbons, three border stickers and three colors in the doodling around the edge. :)

Caleb's birthday is coming up next week and in the aftermath of Christmas we are always at somewhat of a loss as to what to get him.

This year was not so hard. His desk is a hand me down that just isn't holding up to the abuse an almost 7 year old gives out. So, we made a trip to Ikea & Caleb is now the proud owner of a desk/bookshelf that he picked out himself.

And while we were there we found the day beds we were looking at for the girls at a clearance price that is too good to pass up. Their bunk beds are falling apart- so it was probably a good thing we got them now.

Our car was stuffed to the brim on the way home and now Jim has a whole lotta building to keep him busy this week. :)

New years eve :)

Our house was nice and cheerfully decorated for New Years' We pulled the Color Explosion out from under the tree and got cracking on making all kinds of decorations for our New year's Eve Party.
Caleb Was very excited. He's not usually into making things and if it's not star wars he generally does it as quick as he can and then goes on his merry way. He liked the spinner though and it held his attention a little longer than most times we try and make things with him

Lilly's our perfectionist and had to have it just so. :) Her's turned out the best.

After we were done with our spinning party- we watched Underdog (cute movie). Then it was time for dinner- which we ate finger food -that has become a tradition in the past few years that has stuck. By this time it was getting to be Normal bed times- but the kids were good and excited about staying up all night.

Next we watched Evan Almighty (another cute movie).

It still wasn't midnight yet-so we put on Elf and then it was finally time to watch the ball drop.

We can see the fireworks the City puts off from our bedroom window so we all crowded around watching them and then it was time for bed.

It was the first year we all made it up to midnight. :)
