Busy playing... and not playing

I'm still working 6 day weeks. I don't work full time, but geesh, it's rough getting out of the pajamas every day.


I think I'll write to the IRS and demand that tax preparers dress code should be pj's and comfy shoes. Or at the very least give us PJ fridays. *sigh*


Anyway, I've been playing with my Silhouette more and it's been so much fun. Here's a couple more layouts I did this week.

This is a picture from when we went to the Kutztown Folk Festival with Dean and Kathy. :) I did a challenge to use blue red and yellow colors. :)

This was a scraplift from Jill Hornby. I loved it and had to make one of my own. I used some extra pictures I had from the Christmas mini books this year.

So, yes, I still am alive just really busy working and playing... But i'll let you in on a little secret. Jim got some new lenses and flashes for the camera and so he is going to be doing some photoshoot work with the kids this weekend. :) I can't wait to show y'all. :)

Some Scrapping Fun. :)

this was just a quickie I put together using K & Co's Cub scout line. :) This was the boy the night he earned his Bobcat badge. :)

Turn back time about 5 years and this is what you get. :) I cut the title from Silvia and used up another 8x10 picture that has been in a folder for a while. I'm on a mission to get all our old big photos in the scrapbooks, and I'm really liking the big picture effect mixed with layout with smaller pictures.

Ok, turn back time a little bit farther.... this time about 8 years ago. :) I'm pretty sure that I wasn't even pregnant with Caleb when this was taken. Abby was so tiny back then! Now she wouldn't be able to get her foot in a swing that size. :)

Snow Day

Ok, so the kids are off school today.

And I just got a call from my boss that he is closing early as all of my appointments for today have cancelled. So no work for me today!



So, I'm catching up doing laundry- A never ending chore ugh. And between loads I want to play with my Silvia for a while too. I just took all my old fonts off the old comptuer and put them on the new computer.

A busy week

Not only did half the family get a bug/head injury but then we've had a busy postal week.

Our new computer came on Monday. I'm having lots of fun playing with photoshop and movie maker.

I also got my Silhouette in the mail. (A digital cutting machine for scrapbooking)

AND, as a valentines day gift to Jim, I bought a bunch of used CD's for Jim that came in the mail, so not only do we have new toys, but new music to play while playing with toys. :D

So I haven't been blogging, b/c I'm too busy playing. But I'll have some cool stuff to show ya later on. I've done two photoshopped pictures (I love that You tube has tutorials. They are so much easier to use)

Oh, and today we took the kids to see The Spiderwick Chronicles. It was really cute and great for kids. :D Our kids love fantsy movies and so you know they loved it. :D

Yeah, not so much. In fact today they are on each others nerves (and mine) more than usual.

The Klutz is in the house

Caleb adopted this bear this weekend.




The bruise came later. He fell at recess and smacked his head on the black top. He has a nice goose egg/bruise to show for it.

So both Jim and Abby were sick yesterday and then Caleb comes home on concussion watch so yeah. I was a tad busy.

Abby is better today and back at school.

Jim took the day off again today- but doing better

Caleb still has a headache, but otherwise is fine. Just another head injury- the boy has had so many this was almost routine.

Jim and Abby both are home sick b/c they were up all night with the Ick.

A Mommy-daddy-Abby day

It's Been a while since we had one of those.



So we went bowling while C&L were out doing some belated birthday shopping. :)




The pictures aren't that great. We didn't take the good camera and the little one isn't great for bowling alleys where there isn't the greatest lighting and there is a lot of movement. But you get the picture



It was fun. Don't laugh at this b/c bowling is not our strong suit. Abby beat her high of 65 and you will notice that there was only one of us with a strike (that would be me- but I'm so inconsistent that even with the bumpers I didn't have that great of a score. )

Jim says he can tell I'm busy at home b/c I haven't posted on here in a while.

And he is right. Our desk has been a mess for far too long and in my half hearted attempts to clean it in the past I get distracted and it never gets fully done, and so it is a perpetual mess. *sigh*

But I am on a mission to get it done before the new computer comes. And then there is the fact that I went and bought a brand new Cutting machine with the refund that needs to have space by the computer so I have to make room for that. Further incentive to get the desk area clean.

Not to mention that tax season has started and I've been working every day of the week except Sundays. SO that has really limited my computer time.

Speaking of my tax preparing job- I LOVE it. I wish I could do it year round. Accounting is ok- but if I could do tax returns all year long and not do the bookeeping aspect, I would. But it's a seasonal thing, so that's not going to happen.

Anyway, That's all I have to say for the moment. :) Ciao!

Lots of fun stuff going on.

First, Let me say my thank yous to the Jelly belly people. They came out with a new pomegranate flavor. Pomegranate has topped my list of favorite fruit juices (which cranberry has been number one for years) and so to have that in jelly bean form is delightful.


Second, We did our taxes. And we were quite happy to find out it was a bit more than we had expected and so last night we went shopping online and ordered us a brand new computer. I'm so excited- We upgraded a few things to do picture editing and all that fun stuff we can't do on the computer b/c the processor is so crappy.



Third, Today is superbowl sunday which means that after tonight- there will be no more football in the house till fall. Don't think I have to 'splain anymore than that. :) *sorry dear*


Fourth, Today was scouting sunday. And our little scout was so cute. His job in the service was- and I'm quoting here: "To take the money from the people and give it to the person who owns the church"
